Hi my GGF THOMAS ALEXANDER WILLIAMS appears twice in the 1871 Census.
Brynpennod, Llansantffraid and Pool, Montgomeryshire, Wales. EDWARD WILLIAMS (34 - farmer of 39 acres - born Llanbadarn) is listed with his wife Elizabeth (29 - born Kinnerley) dau. Selina Williams (6 mths - born Llansantffraid) son THOMAS ALEXANDER (2 - born Pwll) and Samuel Lloyd (15 - domestic servant - born Blod.)
The Pwll, Maesbrook Issa, Wern Las, Parish of Kinnerley. THOMAS JONES (53 - head - farmer of 40 acres employing self and son) is listed with his wife Elizabeth (60) their 2 unmarried children Martha 21 - domestic servant) and Thomas (15). Plus grandson THOMAS ALEXANDER WILLIAMS (2)
That is he appears on two 1871 Census! But I still don't know where Brynpennod or The Pwll are located. Does anyone know them? Are they the names of farm properties? Were they near each other? A district map with them on would be really helpful.
