Flaybrick cemetery Birkenhead
« on: Sunday 06 April 14 16:18 BST (UK) »
Does anyone know whether there is an online catalogue of individuals buried in Flaybrook cemetery, Bidston, Birkenhead?  I think that my ggrandfather, Robert Baird,(died 1920) and his wife, Elizabeth, (died 1945) may be buried there.  Any help gratefully received.

Hi Evertonian2

I was able to look up the burial records for Flaybrick cemetery for you (held on microfilm at Birkenhead Library)

You are right - your great grandfather Robert Baird and his wife Elizabeth are buried there

Burial 3/4/1920  Robert Baird age 60  gardener
Burial 1/10/1945  Elizabeth Baird age 83  widow

C of E Section 12  Grave 661a

I may be able to go to Flaybrick at the weekend or next week if you would like me to have a look to see if there's a headstone -unless someone can get there before me.

Hope this helps

Thank you very much for your information - you are most kind.  I appreciate it very much.  It would add the icing on the cake if you were able to see if there is a gravestone.  Again, I am overwhelmed by the helpfulness of people on this site.  Thanks again.

Hi Evertonian 2

We went to Flaybrick but unfortunately couldn't find a headstone.
Working on the numbering we think we located the area where the grave should be  - there's a gap between numbers 656 and 662a.

Grave 661a should be between these two numbers and situated under a tree in Section 12.

I was hoping there would be a headstone but unfortunately there doesn't seem to be.
I did take a a photo of the area.

Regards
