Photo Touch up please of Marton Institute Blackpool

Hi, could some one please improve this old photo, its probably from the 1930/40s, taken at the Marton Institute Blackpool. Also would I be able to print this photo to A4 size without loss of quality, thanks, Tony.

Just wondering what the building in the background may be.  It has the words "Oxford ..... " on it?

A big thank you to all, I am very pleased with the results. My friends grandmother is in the photo and he would like me to frame it and hopefully have it on display at the Marton institute club, Blackpool. Could someone please advise me what would be the largest size print I could expect without lose of quality. Yes Steve it does say Oxford, its the old Oxford pub, Blackpool which I believe is to be demolished and an Aldi will replace it, Yuk. thanks again to all,Tony.

Hi Tony,

Thanks for the explanation about the word Oxford.  I thought it may have been a club or pub.

With regards to the size.  The current picture is only 4.455x2.666 inches in size, and has been scanned in at 200 pixels per inch.  If you were to enlarge it very much, the picture would become very pixelated.

To get a best result, you would need to scan the picture in at the highest number of pixels per inch - 500 or 600 dpi.
