Buckley family 1500s to 1700s

Hi I am looking for family from Shaw, Crompton Oldham areas of Lancashire from mid to late 1500's whole of 1600's and 1700's I have been researching my ancestors for the last 15/20 years and believed they all came from Madeley in Shropshire but my recent searches have proved different by leading me to Oldham the last one I found was Edmund Buckley birth about 1660 married Dorcas Ogden both died in 1729 their son John birth about 1686 married Tudor Rose Mary Howard in 1705I believe that this is the start of the link to Sir Richard Buckley of Baron Hill Beaumaris Anglesey Wales. If anyone has any information relating to them I would be very grateful.

Thank you for your reply and information it is very much appreciated now al I need to do is find Edmunds father which is probably the connection to Sir Richard Buckley of Baron Hill Beaumaris Anglesey Wales as they are a vast large family where the title has been handed down to generation upon generation.  I really thought my late father was pulling my leg about Sir Richard, but now I know the scale of my research is bringing it closer than I imagined to be and it is due to the help of people like yourself that show great kindness in helping people. the project is proving to be very intriguing.

I have a will dated 18th October 1709 of a John Buckley of Whitfield crompton. Wife Abigail…sons , Abraham, John and James.
