Help Needed.
Trying to trace a Sadie Betts.
She married David Robert Watson - Brentford Middlesex 1905
Unable to find a birth record - need this to identify her parents.
1911 census - has her aged 40 and born in Norwood Green, Middlesex

If you have Sadie's marriage cert, it should tell you who her father was, and whether she had been married previously - marrying at 36  might be considered to be quite late for a first marriage.

On the 1891 census, there is a Sarah A Betts bn c. 1870 in Southall, which is close to Norwood Green.

Sarah Ann Betts bn Dec qtr 1868 Uxbridge - a possibility, bearing in mind David Robert Watson was about 10 years younger than her on the 1911 census (she might have shaved off a few more years!!)

The 1868 birth may match to this entry on the 1881 census RG11; Piece: 651; Folio: 106; Page: 16
parents Henry and Lydia Betts.  You will need the marriage cert to match this to confirm parentage.

Thanks Folks for all your help and suggestions - i have ordered the marriage certificate and am hoping that will shed some light on her parentage.  Fingers crossed - this research stuff is very intriguing .... should've joined years ago !!
