Looks to me like "Llangunidor" which could be an anglicised version of "Llangynidr".
Just a thought!

Sorry, I didn't make it quite clear in my first post. The parish is Llangynidre, but I wanted to know what the actual residential location was.

Bottom of link is the Places, villages, farms etc., in Llangynidr parish. First letter looks like 'R' so possibly Rassa ??

R??ieu in the parish of what you said.

Or maybe this word Beiliau if the "R" hasn't come out properly could be a "B"

Hi,
thanks for the replies.
This is the birth certificate of my Greatx3 grandfather.
On the 1911 census he said that he was born in Rassa, Brecon, but on the certificate it looks like something else.

I read it as "Rhaed" = possibly an attempt to capture the Welsh for waterfall ie. rheadr, rhaeadr, rhaead (an early 18 Century form w/out the R). There is a waterfall just north of Llangunider/Llangynidr

Have found "Rhaed" as possibly a house name, rather than place name, but not in that location.

The second is Rhace = Rassa? The first looks more like Rhaec. Perhaps the registrar was not familiar with the name
