Hi
Suggest you look at Thomas Hy Nevison in 1891 census and Thomas Pickering b Bowden Close in 1881 census. His mother is shown as Hannah Pickering in 1881 and as a widow but in 1891 she is recorded as Hannah Nevison, again a widow. Thomas Hy has been transcribed as Thomas Hy Nevison in 1891 but when you look at the 1891 census image he is clearly shown as Thomas Hy Pickering. He has an elder brother James and a sister Hannah. In 1901 mother Hannah, James and Hannah are recorded as Pickering and living in Iveston! You should also be able to find them in 1911.
I cannot see a marriage for Hannah Pickering and so wonder if her three children were illegitimate. Indeed if you find Hannah in 1871 census she is shown as unmarried with son James.
Hope this helps
