Another question which has popped into my head,
Was the first baby christened,  Viktoria?

Another thought that has popped into my head - bearing in mind the five month delay between the birth and the registration. Could the baby have died and the birth registered at the same time as the death :-\ But yet, if that was the case you would expect the same registrar and the same spelling of Giatano Frezza  ::).
Sorry just posting my thoughts - feel free to ignore ;)

You can ignore my thoughts too  :). Could it have been some sort of re- registering.
Are both certificates 'normal' other than the delay with the first one?

Thankyou all very much---- there is a lot of useful info there which I`ll chase up.
I too thought that, not least because it makes a difference between a soft and hard G GAETANO was the more usual spelling.
As the baby was registered rather later than the norm and even  later than what I thought was the legal limit I`m wondering  if there was a special reason for that.
Luigi wrote his own signature on the second baby`s cert but Domenica did not on the first baby`s, just a cross.
I never thought about both babies surviving.
Lots to chase up.  So once again many thanks to you all. I`ll let you know what success I have.
                                                     Viktoria.

Viktoria, as has been mentioned already. Has anyone viewed the 1911 census? Apart from the Glasgow 1911 birth under discussion, there seems to be a birth either side in Edinburgh. Wondered where they were in 1911 and census time given the date of the second birth reg.

We are good to post info for the Scottish Census (everyone has paid to view on SP/not a subs)....not the same sadly for England and Wales. Ireland is good too (in fact it is free!) 50:50, we are divided  ;)

There is this older post here for a daugther born in 1908 www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=646817.0

She went by the name later of Nancy but not sure how her birth name was registered (in Italy from what you have found in 1911, Looby)?
