annep5892:

Does it say where Elizabeth died?  Cambuslang or Rosebank?
Many thanks.

Lanarman,
The info came from the Mortcloch which is very basic.
No further info on the death of Elizabeth other than cost of mortcloth was 3 shillings.

John Drummond who died in 1831... 5 shillings.

There is no further info on either

I dont have a subscription to SP but when I put the 2 dates/names into the search boxes, both came up "Cambuslang" which makes perfect sense to me.

It's the first name of John Drummond's father that I am searching for. When he married Eliz. Bird (Baird) in Ochiltree in 1787, she was recorded as a "housekeeper" from Polquhairn.  Maybe a castle or an estate there (where John was the gardener) ?

Thanks again for your help.

Lanarman,
I think I've just realised and thought you understood.... Rosebank  is a small area in Cambuslang.

SP is not a subscription site.
It works on credits. £7 for 30 credits
If used correctly 30 credits will purchase 5 certs but if you purchase the "death info" that you searched for, it will simply result in the mortcloth entry page.
It will not provide any further information about these deaths

The Mortcloth book is simply a full transcription of the Mortcloth record ... which is your SP result
