Hi,

I am looking for information on a Mary Southerington. She married a Joseph Lennon and is listed in the 1901 and 1911 census living in Magherareagh, Castlefinn, County Donegal. The query I have is regards her birthplace as Nottinghamshire as I can find no records to match her birth to. Can anybody please help to find any siblings and also her parents.

About 1857 judging from the 1911 Irish census.

Based on the 1911 Irish Census Mary was married to Joseph in about 1891 when she was approx 34.

I wonder if she had been married before?

What information does her marriage to Joseph Lennon give about her father.

Her grandson maintains that she was not married previous to Joseph.

Unfortunately not. I know she is buried in the Lennon family plot in Castlefinn but after enquiries with the parish priest there was no records that can be found by them even though she died in 1921.

On her youngest daughters birth cert her maiden name is Southerington. That is for Emily Elizabeth Lennon born 3rd October 1901.
