Excuse my ignorance, but how long does it generally take and do I just keep checking the Wellington Archive?

Not me then, LOL.

I hope to get in to Archives in Wellington this week and will request that your file be digitized.

At present it can take up to a month for the link to the digitized file to appear on Archway.

I'll reply to this topic to let you know I've requested the file. Wait a couple of weeks before you check Archway.
