You won't be surprised to know that 172/Bde. were at Cayeux at this time according to their diary.
On the 14/15th. they went up to their line (of guns) for practice shots.
There was nothing at Cayeux but their was a town called Caix a couple of miles away.
It would be a nice thought if a photographer came over from there with his children as mentioned
& took photos of the men, one which you have.
