Hello , I would appreciate a Look Up if possible please . I dont have much to go on but it was suggested that Frances Ann Prout { born 1864 Exmouth , England } died in California . I know she sailed for Quebec in 1911 with 2 children .
Any help much appreciated

Frances Ann Prout mmn Small- died on 21 Jun 1953 in Los Angeles.

DOB given as 28 Feb 1864.

Info from California, Death Index, 1940-1997 .

Did she marry William Henry Prout?

She was naturalised in USA on 19 May 1938 in California- arriving there in 1924.

Her DOB was given as 28 Feb 1871- so she became older (dob 1864!) when she died!  ;D

Children , Ivy, Albert and Hilda.

Hi , yes thats definately her and her children . Not sure where William Henry got to as Frances was alone with kids on 1911 census in Exeter

In 1927 they are both at an address in Compton California.

William H is a watchman.

In 1932 they are in Graham California- he is a janitor.

Frances appears on the 1940 US census now aged 74 and widowed.
Living in San Antonio, Los Angeles, California.

William H Prout died aged 73 on 12 Mar 1939 in Los Angeles California.

Hi,

The naturalization doc says Frances Anna Prout lived at 6619 Holmes Ave, Los Angeles. She was a housewife. Born in Exeter Feb 28 th 1871. Declared her intention 22 October 1935 Los Angeles. her husband was William Henry Prout . They were married at Exeter 5 th June 1896. William was born So Molton England 14 Sept 1871. Entered the USA at Fort Huron 30 June 1924. Had 3 children :- Ivy 27/5/1895 Alberta 29/6/1901 both reside in Canada. Hilda 12/8/1898 resides Huntington Park California. Frances last foreign residence was Stratford Canada, she to entered the USA at Port Huron 30 June 1924.

The couple were on the Canada 1921 Census living at 122 Brunswick Street Stratford Ontario.

William Henry Prout  50 Born England. Immigrated 1911. Finisher.
Francis Ann Prout  56 Born England. Immigrated 1911.
Albert Edward Prout  19 Born England. Immigrated 1911. Salesman.
