William Percy BERRY
« on: Monday 16 June 14 18:11 BST (UK) »
Hi

I'm trying to find a birth certificate (and indeed any other information) for William Percy Berry. The only reference I can find for him is the 1901 census, which has him living at Sirdar Terrace, Foss Road, Streatham. This has him being born c1898 at Earlsfield, Surrey.

Any help gratefully received.

What is the basis for thinking he had an additional given name of William?

You haven't said where the William comes from ???

In any event I cannot easily see a birth registration for Percy or his elder brother Christopher, both of which should be registered in Wandsworth district.

Have you found birth registrations (and, where relevant, death registrations) for Christopher & Harriet's other children?

I have also found a reference I forgot to include - the 1920 electoral register for 53 Winstanley Road, Wandsworth. This gives him as William Percy, living with his parents. The registration has a prefix of a, which I think means absent.

I think I have one for Christopher John - Q2 1893 St Olave 1d 189.

Maybe, but it doesn't match his age or birthplace from 1901, and comes before the 1894 Guildford marriage ???
