Passenger Lists England to America 1881 & 1882

Hello,
         I am trying to find the port of entry to America in 1881 & 1882 for one of my Great Grandfathers who abandoned his pregnant wife & family (13 children born in Newbold, Derbyshire) and went to America.(family stories & a press report). His name is William Bradley born Dudley, Worcestershire, in April 1841. (miner then a grocer). I am not sure what America meant in 1881. It could mean just USA or USA & Canada.I would like a look up please for any ship travelling from England to America in 1881 & 1882 with William Bradley age 40 on board. Thanks to any one who can help with this problem.

Hello Erato,
                   Thanks for the contact & the advice about passengers to the USA from England (1881/2). Yes, I was aware of the info on Family Search about this topic which I originally looked at in January this year but drew a blank. I will look again as I know they do update from time to time.
This subject is my brick wall & perhaps the information I am looking for does not exist. Apologies for the delay in my reply, it seems my 1st attempt went astray. Cheers, Adjer.
