Thanks for that, it must have been very difficult in London from German origins at that time

On the German Pork Butcher topics and on many other topics on the Europe board, there are several stories about hostility towards people who had lived in these places for 30 years and more, and were respected members of the community, but were now - suddenly - German foreigners, the "enemy" !!

Look Bob we have all moved on, one world, all people hopefully in peace, and stay that way. I was not born when this happened.
I know the history and world wars cause death, destruction and mayhem to family and country.

Leaving this thread informed

well, today i received the Death Certification of Hyacinthe Moriarty.
Maybe i am wrong, but i thought, on the Death-Certification would be mentioned the name of the parents. but its not. So still got no confirmation, if this is the person i am searching for. Also the birth date and place is not mentioned.
Sadly.

Death certificate mentions the person who was informant. Often helpful to identify potential family member.

Marriage certificate gives the fathers of bride and groom.

Birth certificate gives father and mother with maiden name.

What does the death certificate give as date of death and as Hyacinth´s age?

The age and the year of death would match with Hyacinthe, but because Moriarty is a very common name there, i dont thing this is evidence enough that this is her.
As informant there is a unknown person mentioned, at least its not a Sigwarth..
She`s mentioned as spinster, so no chance to get a marriage record for confirmation

Is there no indication of who the informant might have been? Can often get more clues about the deceased by considering whether it was a relative or neighbour.

isnt it possible to have a lookup in the GRO ?
Because there are no documents showing all i need (birthdate, deathdate and (if married) their marriage date) i have to order these individualy for all family members.
First this is very expensive and also takes so long to recieve the datas.
If there is a way, i would prefer paying someone for the lookup. I dont need the certificates, only interested in their datas. Do you know, is there any service available ?
