Louis Meintser b. 1892 Amsterdam.

I have just discovered a marriage between possibly Alice C Hagger, my relative and a Louis Meintser Q1. 1918 Islington. My Alice did come from there but as I can't find her anywhere after this I'm wondering if it's likely she would have gone to Holland with Louis who was a sailor (merchant marine) after marriage
I have him arriving New Orleans Nov. 1928 on board the DEN HAAG from Amsterdam and again Jan. 1929 again on board the DEN HAAG from Rotterdam. He states he was born Amsterdam.
Have searched Familysearch, FindMyPast,A******* but can't find anymore.
Any help or tips re: finding Alice or Louis would be appreciated.

Louis was born in Amsterdam on 10 december 1892, the son of Albert Louis and Helena, nee Zwarts.  His birth registration is here, on Family search, 1st entry, top of left hand page.

Albert Louis was 40 and a fitter.
