Thanks again Rosie and Sandra, I wonder if he or his descendants are on a phone list. Are there any obits available for the couple?
It's extremely difficult to get information out of Canada, data protection is worse there than here in the UK!

The disappearance of Clifford Lyle Pruden from Minnesota census and the Indian Census Rolls could be he returned to Canada - Sisters Evelyn Mae Pruden and Joan Adele Pruden  died 2 nd August 1936 in St Louis Duluth Minnesota.

Evelyn Mae Pruden      8/2/1936   771
Joan Adele Pruden      8/2/1936   770

The mother Evelyn Priscilla (maiden name Tibbetts)
Clifford (Snr) and Evelyn appeared in the 1937 directory for Duluth, Minnesota but only Evelyn as a maid living at 2515 E 6th in the Duluth, Minnesota 1938 directory ?

Have searched through the Canadian Voters roll and the last sighting I can find for Letitia is in 1968 as said a widow did she marry again or return to England ? Wonder how she met Clifford as not seeing him on any passenger lists ?

The mystery deepens! Perhaps she met him while chatting to him as she was a telephonist?

Hi;

The Winnipeg Free Press issued Saturday 27 July 1974 has the wedding of "Kimberley Jean, daughter of Mr and Mrs Clifford L Pruden and Douglas Melstead, son of Mr and Mrs John Helgi Peters" which took place on 29 June 1974.  Just realized that was 40 years ago today!

The Manitoba Metis Federation might have some info re the Prudens.  Their website can be found by any search app.
