This is a good offer especially considering the recent bad feedback after their recent changes.

I see the offer runs from 13th to 23rd July. I have gone part of the way through the process and get a message saying "this offer will expire on the 23rd of Jul." Does anyone know if all of the credits have to be used by the 23rd of July, or is that the date by which you have to sign up for the offer?

Also, does the 1 month subscription need to be cancelled after the month is up (to prevent them automatically taking the following month's sub from your credit card presumably at the full monthly price). Or, does the sub just stop?

Do credits last a year?

I don't use FindMyPast though I have had trials with them in the past, so as I am only an occasional user I would not want my credits to just run out if I didn't use them before 23rd July.

Thanks for any replies. :)

It is a subscription, so you can access as many records as you like over 1 month (under a very high fair usage limitation). You do not need credits if you have a subscription, and you get no credits with this offer, so you cannot access records after the month has expired.

Yes, you need to uncheck the auto-renewal on your settings page, otherwise you will be automatically renewed. The confirmation page after purchase makes this very clear. You can uncheck it right away so you don't forget at the end of the month.

Its a good cheap offer for someone just wanting a short subscription - always remembering to cancel the following months subscription when you join up.  You can uncheck the box straight   away so you don't forget at the end of the month.
