Could someone look up Richard Shire, born 1869, Pitminster. Should be living with his wife Bessie.

Thanks! It looks like it as Bessie was a Farley before (re)marrying to Richard.

Not sure she was married when she had Frederick - 1891 census has a Bessie Farley b Corfe single and a housekeeper with  John F R Farley aged 3 b Pitminster - ref RG12/ 1873/ 60/ 12

Yes, just looked at the 1891 census, Robert L Aplin, seems like this could be a mystery!
