Hello David

My wife is the granddaughter of Clara, Florence’s youngest sister. Florence (Florrie) married William Gill in Alverstoke, Hampshire in 1914. They had 5 children. They lived in the Portsmouth area until the late 1920s when they moved to South Norwood, London.  After World War 2 one of her daughters went to live in Rhodesia. Florence separated from her husband at some point and followed her daughter to Rhodesia to live with her. Florence died in Rhodesia of leukaemia in the 1960s.

Regards

DaveJB

Hi DaveJB,

Very many thanks indeed for both your reply & the info re Florence, very much appreciated indeed.

As to my link, I stated in my original post that Florence & Clara's parents John William Mott & Clara Warburton are distant relatives of mine. Clara's parents were Thomas Warburton (1836-1919) & Jane Perrin (1837/38-1897). Thomas's brother James Warburton (1841-1914) was my gt gt grandfather & he married Jane Mellor (1839-1914).

My thanks again.

Kind regards

David
