Is this the same John French born c1853 Sheerness occ Boiler Mkr?

1881 census
https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/XQ42-4N1

I think there is a good chance that is him but I can't find any of those three children after 1881.  He was though a widower on the marriage in 1883.

I think his age is probably out though on 1881.  There is a William French with wife Hannah in Sheerness on 1861 and 1871 Census who is a joiner, they have a son John born c1844 with them on 1861.

One of my ancestor's siblings was variously a carpenter/joiner and an undertaker on various records.  However, it means that John was also a little economical with the truth on the census about his age as he's listed as 16 on the 1861 Census .. although the enumerator may have entered it incorrectly. :-\

Frenchy, what do you know from your relatives then about Henry Jones since it's not exactly an uncommon name is it. ::)

He's listed as a blacksmith on Emma's marriage entry.  There is an Emma Jones born c1863/4 on the 1871 Census with father Harry and mother Susannah and siblings in Deptford.  He's a blacksmith born Stanwell, Middlesex and mother is from Sheerness.

Edit - interestingly though he's listed as a basket maker on the 1881 Census and no sign of Emma.

possible St Paul's Deptford 1861 marriage Thomas Henry Jones to Susannah

https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/NVD5-Q2T
(not too sure if the above is the correct marriage as there is a baptism of an
Emma Jones 1863 parents named Thomas Henry & Susannah)

There is this marriage entry in

Lewisham Jun 1858 vol 1d page 888
Henry JONES
Name on same page
Susannah McANALLY

You would a birth certificate of one of the children to confirm their mother's maiden name

other baptisms at St Paul Deptford parents name Henry Jones & Susannah
