Who are the parents of Lily Louisa Loane 1910-1996?

Lily Louisa Loane born Weybread 11 Feb 1910 (BMD Birth, 1911 census and BMD Death). In the 1911 census she is at home of grandparents James and Eliza Loane at Old Kiln, Weybread. Also present are the grandparents younger children (Lily's uncles and aunts) including Anna who is married to Ernest Cockle who is also there with their son Sydney. (born January 1911)

I can't find any evidence to support connecting Lily to any particular offspring of James and Eliza. Only the three eldest are old enough to be the parent:

James Arthur (1888) who in 1911 is away in India with The Norfolk Regiment. (Married 1913, RIP 1915).
Anna (1889)  (already mentioned).
Emma (1891).

The other grandchild on the page is William Charles Loane.  His age is also given as 1 but unlike Lily, he was born in Eye. He should not be confused with one of his younger uncles, William George Loane (1906) also living at Old Kiln.

Perhaps one of you wonderful Rootschatters will be able to provide me with the means of connecting Lily and William Charles to their parent for which I will be very grateful.

 This would  give  her fathers  name  (   hopefully !)

A copy of her birth cert would give both parents names (or confirm illegitimacy) and mothers maiden name

 On the census I   see  William   aged 1   is    'just'  William ,  no  second Christian  name,

 There's a William James Loane  b Sept Qtr  1909 Hartismere RD  which  takes  in Eye

Have a look at the "number of children living" column on 1911. That will tell you how many children James and Eliza had, and whether there are then others that you havent already accounted for.

There is a public tree on ancestry that states Lily is the illegitimate daughter of Emma Loane.

As William was born in Eye, like the youngest Cockle, I would suggest he was the son of Anna.   She married Ernest Cockle in Yorkshire (?) in 1910 (as Annie Elizabeth Loane), the year after his birth.   The only way you'll know for sure is by buying a copy of his birth certificate.

Looks like Emma Loane married James Betts in Dec.qtr.1912 Hartismere.
