1908 AFC Premiers NSW or VIC ?

I had a look in Trove and Alexandra Football club used the initials AFC but they aren't magpies.
I googled Magpies football club and got heaps of hits for Collingwood, but there are quite a few others and one is in Albury.
Perhaps you need to list all the magpies clubs, see if they existed in 1908 or is it 3 and see who won the grand final. I think every minor league must have a team with black and white striped jumpers and call themselves magpies.
If you do manage to track the club down I bet they have a copy of the exact same photo signed by everyone in the picture.
The club could be extinct of course, it happens a lot in small towns.

It seems to be quite comprehensive. Having said that, I have looked up every A team in every state / league and not got a match. However, they do have a forum there and I think if you were to post this photo there you'd have a greater chance of success.

Have you had a look at Wikipedia. List of Australian rules football clubs.

I noticed this in that page
AFC = Australian Football Club (mainly used if in Queensland or NSW or outside Australia) / Amateur Football Club (mainly used in the other Australian States)
That might pose a problem hunting for a club beginning with A.
The club emblem is a Magpie and their club jumpers are Black and White so I think that appears to be the only way you are going to find them. There are 41 minor football leagues in just Victoria from that link so a possible 41 Magpies teams in minor leagues in Victoria for example.

That may help to weed out some clubs that were established later than 1903 or 8

I don't think it is Port Adelaide as they had a black yoke on their jumper.

Also, if you read the article, back then they were known as the "Seasiders", rather than The Magpies?!
