George Bishopridge

Hi!
Can anyone help with the following?

I have a George Bishopbridge (sometimes spelt Bishopbrigg/Bishoprick etc) possibly born 1630 at Hurworth on Tees?

George married on 29 June 1652 at Kirk Merrington a Merrill/Myrill (Muriel) Heighington and had the following issue:

George baptised 2 February 1653 Hurworth on Tees, Margaret baptised 3 April 1655 Kirk Merrington, Robert baptised 12 November 1657 Kirk Merrington, Elizabeth baptised 11 August 1661 Kirk Merrington and Matthew baptised 14 May 1665 Kirk Merrington.

George Bishopbridge born c 1630 may have been the son of another George Bishopbridge (born c 1610) and had brothers Robert baptised March 1642 Hurworth, Anthony baptised 2 May 1637 Hurworth, and sister Margaret baptied August 1639 Hurworth.

The only other Bishopbridge people I can find is a Marmaduke Bishopbridge having a son Francis Bishopbridge baptised at Hurworth on 24 August 1643.

Any help much appreciated! :D

Hi

Have you looked at wills, given the short distance between Hurworth/Kirk Merrington and Stockton on Tees there is a will of a Robert BISHOPRICKE dated 1730,

Hi

There is also a book 'Durham Protestations of 1641', there is a mention of a GEORG BUSHOPPRICKE who took the Protestation, he could be the father as you mentioned.

There is a mention of a Robert in Eaglescliffe in the book.
