Check Weaver of Cotton - Cheshire

Many of my Simpson and Adamson ancestors were "Cotton Weavers" or "Check Weavers of Cotton" from the Cheadle, Stockport, Heaton Norris areas.

I'm stuck at 1810 in my research.  Any ideas on how to move further using the occupation perhaps?  I've exhausted all other resources.  I live in the USA.
