Eastern European immigration

Hi Folks,
Although I posted something similar sometime ago, I have a question.

Why is it I cannnot find the immigration of two  ancestors (Mendle/Goldstein) from what was Russia in between the late 1800's and early 1900's ?
I have looked high and low and cannot find entry, naturalization, or alien lists.
They got here somehow.

Any suggestions gratefully received.

There are a few on the U K incoming lists on Ancestry from Germany

Thank you for the info.  Will check that out again.
Rudolf has replied on the older posting " Russia - Hyman Mendle" and given me info about name changes and spelling.
Hopefully find something - been searching for over two years.
