No my friend, Mary Ann Eary, Mum & Dad but then is Emily a sister too so she may have the same parents.

If that is the correct census entry I have found for 1861 then it would appear that Mary Ann is the natural daughter (illegitimate) of Emily Eary and Edward Wearn.

You don't mention whether you have Mary Ann's marriage certificate from 1871.

If not, here is the entry in the Great Yarmouth registers - you'll see that Mary Ann's father's name has been left blank, suggesting she was illegitimate.

https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.3.1/TH-267-11775-163073-27?cc=1416598

It seems though that Edward Wearn acknowledged she was his daughter, so I'm wondering whether her birth/baptism might be registered in his name.

Bit doubtful about the ages on the census entry though - if Mary Ann was 8 in 1861, and her mother Emily 20, it would mean that Emily was only 12/13 when she gave birth!!

Her marriage on 12/3/1871 St. Nicholas, Gt. Yarmouth to John Gowen, Fisherman, has no father listed for her, confirming illegitimacy.   She is also shown as aged 20 when only 17/18.

Her mother Emily appears to be the Amelia Emily Eary bp.6/5/1838 Holbrook, Suffolk, dau. of John and Mary Ann - so, Emily only 15/16 when Mary Ann born.

Edward's surname actually Wenn - Edward Wenn married Amelia Emily Eary Sept.qtr.1864 Norwich but can't find any trace of them after the marriage.
