Thomas Reed and Eleanor Banbridge
« on: Wednesday 09 July 14 15:57 BST (UK) »
Hi!
Can anyone help with the parents of the following?

I have a Thomas Reed marrying Elioner Banbridge on June 28th 1664 at Aycliffe Durham. They hadtwo children:

Edward Reed baptised November 15th 1665 Aycliffe

Elizabeth Reed baptised March 7th 1669 Aycliffe

There is a baptism of a Thomas Reed on October 9th 1642 at Aycliffe, son of I think another Thomas Reed who married Margaret Farrow on August 22nd 1637 at Brancepeth.

The only other Banbridge I can find is a Mary Banbridge who married a Patrick Key on May 10th 1664 at Aycliffe. They had the following issue:

Jane Key baptised June 4th 1665 Aycliffe

Patrick Key baptised April 11th 1667 Aycliffe

Eleanor Key baptised May 3rd 1668 Aycliffe

Thomas Key baptised September 17th 1671 Aycliffe

Anne Key baptised February 2nd 1677 Aycliffe

Mary Key baptised April 22nd 1683 Aycliffe

Mary Banbridge may have been Patrick Key second wife as two other children are listed for him:

John Key baptised March 5th 1659 Aycliffe

John Key baptised October 21st 1660 Aycliffe

There is an Edward Reed baptised August 11th 1616 at Aycliffe (son of John Reed) but not sure if how this fits in.

Any help much appreciated! :D

From my experience with my own "Reed" and "Bainbridge" lines I think you will need to be fairly flexible about the spelling.
Here are some possibilities for your Elioner Banbridge from familysearch:

https://familysearch.org/search/record/results?count=20&query=%2Bgivenname%3Aelioner~%20%2Bsurname%3Abanbridge~%20%2Bbirth_place%3A%22aycliffe%2C%20durham%22~%20%2Bbirth_year%3A1620-1650~

None of the baptisms are in Aycliffe, but there are a couple in the right age range who could be within travelling distance.
