who were Patrick George Skelly's parents?

Hi all
I am trying to find out more about an Australian soldier. His name is Patrick George Skelly.
He was born in Dublin 1883-1884.
Can anyone find his birth or the names of his parents?

We know that he was in Australia in 1914 living in Swan Hill Victoria. He had a brother named James who also lived in Victoria at Bacchus Marsh.

Any help will be greatly appreciated as the information is for a book being compiled by my local genealogy club.

A Patrick Skelly and his twin John were baptised 21 May 1883 from Turners Cottages children of Edward Skelly and Esther Fox.
The Family can be found on the 1901 census of Dublin at 3.1 Turners Cottages,Shelbourne Road.
At present i cant locate a baptism for James so dont know if right family.

But to note on Irish Genealogy Church  records the priest has written something in Latin after Patricks name which seems to be referring to 1908 possibly matrimonius in St Maria or Monica.

This Patrick Skelly married Mary Redmond on 5th July 1908 there are Skelly/Redmond births showing from 1912 to 1919 so he may not be your man.

There was a George Patrick Skelly born Dublin South in 1883, there does not seem to be a death for a George Skelly before 1901 and no George Skelly on 1901 census of Dublin.

Perhaps this is him. Is there anyway to check immigration records between his birth and 1901?

I don't have any other information but will ask at genealogy next Friday.

My apologies while searching Family Search i entered George Skelly and George Patrick KELLY came up so this not him either.
I see the information you have given is on his embarkation roll for April 1916 from Melbourne with  a service number of 5449 a private,can you not follow up this service number.

Here is some more information regarding Patrick George Skelly:

Married Doris Bertha King in Echuca Nsw on 16 November 1940 aged 54
His parents were listed as Richard Skelly and Mary Riley.

Although we have his marriage we are still looking for his birth in Dublin.
