Richard Steel, born 1746, died 1827 was married to Mary Routledge, born 1743 and married in 1769 in Bewcastle, Cumberland.

When did she die?

Is this Richards burial in Stapleton : 6 November 1827

If so,  there is this burial of a Mary STEEL 28 Feb 1811, Parish Church, Stapleton, Cumberland.

I have 'ROUTLEDGEin my tree and the earliest is Thomas who married a Hannah HARRISON.  Thomas was born in Haydon in 1773ish.  Let me know if this is of any use to  you.

I think the Mary Steel whom died in 1811 is the right one.
