Chronometer Finisher I think
Kearney & Bourke/ Johns & Fox/ Mannion & Finan/ Donohoe & Curley
Byrne [Carthy], Keeffe/ Germaine, Butler/ McDermott, Giblin/ Lally, Dolan
Toole, Doran; Dowling, Grogan/ Reilly, Burke; Warren, Kidd [Lawless]/ Smith, Scally; Mangan, Rodgers/ Fahy, Calday; Staunton, Miller
Further generations:
Brophy Coleman Eathorn(e) Fahy Fitzpatrick Geraghty Haverty Keane Keogh Nowlan Rowe Walder

The bottom one - possibly a Chronometer Finisher http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chronometer

I wonder if the top one could be a Sawyer rather than Lawyer

I'd agree with both

It looks like Sawyer for the top one as well rather than Lawyer.

I'm with Kay on Sawyer - there doesn't seem to be a right stroke at the bottom of the first letter which I would expect to see if the letter were L.

All the best
Philip
