William Hefford of Welford

Hi!
    Can anyone help with the following?

I have a William Hefford marrying an Elizabeth Langley on 19 June 1708 at Welford, Northampton.

According to familysearch they had three or possibly four children (?):

William Herford born 5 January 1712 Welford

William Hefford baptised 24 July 1715 Welford

Anne Hefford baptised 1 January 1718 Welford

Thomas Hefford baptised 11 August 1729 Welford

As you can see there is a big age gap between the children and I cant find any other children listed?

Can anyone shed any light on William Hefford or Elizabeth Langleys parents as I have checked familysearch and cant seem to find anything!

Any help much appreciated! :D

The parish registers for Welford have been transcribed and can be found (free-to-view) on the FreeREG website at www.freereg.org.uk.

Anne (1718) and Thomas (1729) are recorded.  However, Anne is the earliest HEFFORD baptism entry - there is no sign of the two (?) Williams (HEFFORD or HERFORD).

I had a look at your HEFFORD records from Family Search, but wonder about the batch number - this starts with "I" and extracted baptisms usually start with "C".  Perhaps they should be treated with a note of caution?

There is a William Heford (as spelt) baptised 25th March 1688 in Welford, parents Jonathan and Elizabeth.

I can see the same baptism on the Northants Baptism Indexes for William,
but not one for Elizabeth.

There is a Mary baptised 25th November 1733 in Welford also Parents William and Elizabeth
