It's French :)

Allez mes chers petits, fêtez dans vos chansons
La beauté du soleil, la douceur de la vie
Croyez à l’allégresse et filez de beaux sons
Mais ne m’oubliez pas, ô jeunesse ravie

It's part of a poem, the whole thing is here: http://www.rootschat.com/links/018h3/

My translation of the whole poem - parts of it could be interpreted differently though. I'd be interested to know what any native speakers make of it.

  Ah! all my little birds have flown the nest.
  They left happily, winging their way,
  My house is deserted: my eyes are moist;
  My heart seems heavy and the dawn less beautiful.

  Go  on, my little ones, celebrate in your songs
  The beauty of the sun, the sweetness of life.
  Believe in joy and spin beautiful sounds;
  But do not forget me, O joyful youth!

  Know well that before, in my time of happiness,
  I gave you everything: the day, love, my soul,
  I only kept for myself the bitter taste of crying,
  These tears of the mother, no more a woman.
