Fergus Steel 1843 Kirklinton

Hello

I was looking at the census for an ancestor named Fergus Steel, born to Fergus in 1843 Kirklinton.

He is on the 1851, 1861, 1871 and 1881 census, however he and his family vanish in the 1891 census. Looking at the death records shows nothing, where did they go?

Fergus Steele  56 Born England. Married 1871. Immigrated 1889. AL. Farm labourer.
Eleanor Steele  56 Born England.
Elizabeth C Steele  27 Born England.
Mary I Steele  1 Born Massacahusetts.

Explains why I cannot find them or death dates

Do you know where I can access records for their marriages and deaths in America?

The USA does not have a BMD index as does the UK. What is available varies County to county and State to State.

Thanks, you are right, I cannot find a death date for Eleanor and Fergus.

Is Mary V Steele Elizabeth's daughter?
