From Cologne, Germany to London and Edinburgh, how?
« on: Wednesday 23 July 14 12:24 BST (UK) »
Hello,

I wonder how my ancestors travelled to these cities around 1870-1890. By train to Belgium or Netherland? What was the most used Harbor? Is it possible to find Passager List's all over there?

kind regards
Brigitte

I would have thought travel by boat was quicker?

There have always been boats traversing The Rhine.
It's an easy journey from Cologne to Rotterdam or Amsterdam.

And from there a boat across to England.
