Help Reading Occupation on 1871 Census
« on: Thursday 24 July 14 12:32 BST (UK) »
Looking for Cornelius Brian's occupation. I don't know the first word, I see "Lab" following it which is obviously labourer. His wife below him is a Hawker of Vegetables. And their son has been transcribed as Samuel but I think the name might actually be Jeremiah? What does everyone think? Thank you in advance. Amy.

Thanks for the responses, that makes sense because I have his death certificate and his occupation is listed as "Paviour's Labourer" which fits. However he died in 1879 so he couldn't have been on the 1881 census. Thanks again everyone.
