Can anyone help me with any info about the following: -

A number of relatives emigrated to Canada about 1898-1905?

Caroline Emma (Emma) Edwards nee Holmes b 17.5.1858 Birmingham England
George W Edwards b22.6.1857 Worcester England
their children

Emma C (nee Edwards) Smith c 1876 Clains (Worcester) England
         her husband Dennis W Smith b abt 1876 Worcester England
         their children Ernest b1901 Worcester, Fred maybe born in Canada
         I am certain they went to Winnipeg, and some of the family stayed there
George W Edwards b 1878 Worcester England
         his wife Rose Gilday b abt 1879 Worcester England
         their children Samuel H b Worcester1897 d1916 in France in WW1
                             Alice/Alyce b1900Worcester
         When Samuel enlisted, George and Rose were living in Vandura Saskatchewan
Frederick b1882 Swansea, Wales
         maybe his wife unknow name
         his children Elsie b 1910 ?Canada, Winifred b 1913 ? Canada
Richard W Edwards b 1885 Worcester, England
         maybe his wife unknown name
         his dau Dorothy W Edwards b 1907 ?Canada

I met Ted in the 1960s, when he came over.

I have a (small) further amount of info, but we are not currently in touch with anyone.
Help would be greatly appreciated, I can reciprocate with help in UK research

I see, Bob, that you have a web site on your Smith, Holmes, Edwards.... so there is more information on the Winnipeg Edwards, including the deaths?

Yes some people like Caroline Emma Edwards nee Holmes, I have only photos - she may have lived with her daughter Emma Caroline Smith nee Edwards.
Some of the photos mention Oakville and Hamilton Rock Gardens,
One is of Caroline Emma Edwards and Emma Caroline Smith at Edwin Edwards house with his (Edwin's) son Ernest - clearly in Canada

I have gleaned from a few people a couple of death records- I have included these as they seemed to agree with the sketched out information I got from my aunt - by I have no dates - hoping 1911 Census will produce something

Well, Oakville and Hamilton are in Ontario...( although one web site says the Rock gardens are in Inverary (also Ont.)

Can you narrow down which ones are perhaps in Winnipeg, for me...? I imagine the death certificates helped determine that for some.   J.J.

I do know Caroline Emma Edwards was supposed tyo be in Winnipeg, and I get the impression she may have lived with Emma Caroline Smith her daughter and family.

47    Part of St. Vital
48    St. Vital and St. Boniface Parish and part of St. Boniface City

You will have to look at each page, though, as this was not indexed

P.S. I have just had it confirmed from some old letters of my aunt's that
Florence C B Edwards died in   1989 in B.C.
Apparently her brother Albert died three years earlier.
The only further info I have found is Caroline Emma Edwards birth date

No information through genealogical efforts yet, now back to that census ....
