That's great Bob! I was pretty excited to find them in that book online -- hadn't realized myself there was so much on that website. So I spent a few hours looking for my own lines and found quite a bit of info I hadn't seen before
Simpson, Fuller, Page, Stead, Caspall, Philpott, Williams, Elvery, Whibley, Fryer/Friar, Sutton, Grant, Allard, Packman, Steadman, Norris, Drury, Boughton, Spratt, Munday, Rabbit, Wildbore

Hi, Bob...Your Smith family may or may not have had a phone as I only found a D. Smith in 1920 and 1930...Your George street address did not exist yet...only starts at 65 which is weird.
If you have some years that you want me to check, or any other resources, I am going back tomorrow, and may have a bit of time after I am done my long land microfische documents to file. (1300 docs, altogether!!!!)  J.J.

Popped in to see some later phone books and did find a Fred in the mid century, and still no full names in the Smiths, although more D.'s but nothing on George street....What years might they have been there?
Wonderful this time as they were actual publications, not microfische...It is something just to see the old ads!  J.J.

I have found one more useful fact

A Member of the family called Fred (likely to  be Smith or Edwards) lived at 58 Elliott Street in 1950

IS anyone able to find  anything rom this? I presume it is Winnipeg but am sure

Hi, me again...likely that's the address that I found Fred at...can't find my notes from that day...a while back.
Likely all that I can do is find you more of the same re: directories and phone books...
The Henderson will confirm who the main person who owned the house was.
I can check to see how long they remained there, I guess...
and I can check more phone books in the years beyond to see similar results.
Busy right now, though, so can't get out there yet...
Let me know if you wish me to do this next time I go. J.J.

Hi, Bob...
Called first to make sure it existed, but we only have an Elliot "Road" and it's outside the city....Sorry...

There are Elliot Streets in at least one city/town in each Province, so unless you find the actual full address, it's a tough needle to look for...
