John Drummond, Royal Navy Lieutenant
« on: Thursday 24 July 14 16:19 BST (UK) »
Looking for John Drummond, born 1746-1747, place unknown but probably Scotland, parents and siblings unknown; took part in the American Revolution on various ships, then was captain of the Royal Bounty, ordnance transport, 1779-1780. After the war he was a merchant captain until called back into service in 1790 as captain of HMS Dover. He married Catherine Engs of Newport, Rhode Island, U.S.A., 1778. He died between 27 July 1793 and the end of that year, possibly at sea or in the British Isles or the West Indies.

I can't see him in the Admiralty Officers List held at the Nat. Archives.
This might be better on the Armed forces board so perhaps a moderator can move it.
