There is an 1891 entry where the image clearly gives the family surname as Cooper but somebody has notified a change saying the alternative surname is Cox.

There is a son Thomas aged 18 b Wheatbet Hill Durham & parents are Edward & Emily.

Do you have a copy of Thomas's marriage cert showing his fathers name and occupation?

There doesn't appear to be any birth for a Charlotte Richards in Durham between 1889-1891
and no 1901 entry with a Durham birthplace
