I am trying to trace my grandfather Elphedge Edmund Gerard Watson, born 1884 in Ficksburg, Free State, South Africa.  He married Catherine French who came from Newcastle on Tyne, Northumberland, UK by ship to Cape Town 1907.  They had five children, Harry Ashley Watson born 1916, died 1958, Jack Watson b?, d?, Twin girls, Emily Marguerite & Catherine Watson b?, d?, and Daphne Mavis Watson (my mother) born 27.07.1925, died 26.10.1981.
