i do have robert on the 1891 census at the army holding barracks at dover. The second line on the doc looks like east indies and can make out 88 days but not how many years so wondered if he had been to the east indies and had gone to the holding barracks on his return

That number gives 1886 enlistment
They were in Sailkote Bengal before coming to Dover in 1891

The page is duplicated on the file and the other version is complete but still very difficult to read because it has faded.

Home service started in June 1886.

NoK details: Father Robert, mother Hannah, younger brother Charley. There's something below this that I cannot read.
