Job help!
« on: Sunday 27 July 14 16:38 BST (UK) »
Hello,

I'm having trouble reading what the job is. I pretty certain that the first world is 'Ivory' but i have no idea what the second word is!
Any help would be greatly appreciated!  :)

Turner, bone turner, buck horn turner, celluloid turner, ivory turner, vegtable ivory turner. Makes or turns articles of tortoishell, celluloid, xylonite, erinoid, ivory, bone, horn as case may be on a power driven lathe; may be further designated by the article turned, e.g. bone disc turner, bone haft turner, button turner, counter turner, horn handle turner.
A Billiard ball maker/turner made ivory billiard balls by turning solid pieces of ivory on a lathe with special adjustable holding chucks; is specially skilled in turning billard balls which are held in eight different positions during turning. "A Dictionary of Occupational Terms"

Piano Keys are not turned in a lathe, they were made by cutting thin strips from a block of ivory with a circular saw.
