WO 166/8767 2 King's Shropshire Light Infantry 1942 Feb.-Dec.
WO 166/12610 2 King's Shropshire Light Infantry 1943 Jan.-Dec.
WO 171/1325 2 King's Shropshire Light Infantry 1944 Jan.- Dec.
WO 171/5219 2 King's Shropshire Light Infantry 1945 Jan.-Sept.
WO 169/20062 2 King's Shropshire Light Infantry 1945 Oct.- Dec.
WO 169/23214 2 King's Shropshire Light Infantry 1946 Jan.- June

He was CO of the Isle of Man Internment Camp in 1940, if that helps.

My apologies. I appear to have the wrong Marsh. The CO of that camp was R G Marsh, not C R C Marsh :( Most books just say Marsh and sadly I turned 2 and 2 into 5.

Seemed to have transferred twice during the war:

The following officers are transferred, retaining their ranks and seniority: 24th Dec. 1941:-
Capts.:—

Surrey Regt
C. R. C. Marsh, M.B.E. (18366), from K.S.L.I.

PIONEER CORPS.
War Subs. Maj. C. R. C. MARSH, M.B.E. (18366) having exceeded the age limit of liability to recall,
ceases to belong to the Res. of Offrs., 14th Aug. 1946, and is granted the hon. rank of Lt.-Col.

Hi

Pioneer Corps would make sense if he was CO of a POW / internment camp. The Pioneer Corps guarded many of the mid-low level security camps.
