Yes, Walford Cross is just down the road form West Monkton..

Ainslie

West Monkton is where my hubbies Parternal side hails from Parsons and Paul (Paull) there are still some descendants out there, so the families have been in the Village for around 300 years...

Jo
Paul family: Henry Paul (1731-1803) married my 5x great aunt Anne Peirce.
Carol
I think my known connections had died out or left by 1869 but I will keep an eye open.

Thanks

Ainslie

Hi Ainslie

Abraham Parsons (the younger) abt 1829 married Mary Paull abt 1831

Her father was Richard Paull abt 1801 Married Ann Perry abt 1808

His father was Henry Paull abt 1747, Married to an Ann

My research was done several years ago, and having a quick look at the tree, I do need to review/research in a couple of areas....  As I've not really tracked the Paull, I do know that in the areas around Taunton, you see Paul and Paull, but as yet never researched to see if this is just a variation of the spelling of the same family.

I'm sure that there were headstones for Paul's out at West Monkton church when I went out several years back, to see if I could find Parsons Headstones, but alas it seems that no headstone as I was given the direction to where they were buried by hubbies aunty.

I'm more than happy to pop out and take a look if any of your ancestors have any...
