Ellen Berriman Stevens/Phillips

Hi everyone

I'm totally new to Aus genealogy so hello! :)

I'm looking for information on Ellen Berriman Stevens, nee Phillips. She was born 1902 in St Ives, Cornwall (England) and I've found a death record for her in Dandenong, 1976.

She married David G Stevens in 1915 in St Ives, so I presume must have moved to Australia sometime after that.

I can't find any info on her: no kids, no immigration records, no mention of her husband... Can anyone help?

I also found a reference (on a site called Ancient Faces) that said her parents, Joseph Henry Phillips and Annie Thomas Phillips nee Perkin also died in Dandenong, but again have found no records to back this up. Can anyone help?

Ellen Berriman Stevens is listed as living at 60 Shalimar Cres in Dandenong in 1972. Listed at the same address is David Gyles Stevens.

David Gyles Stevens died aged 70 at St  Kilda in 1974.
Parents  = Edward Stevens and Elizabeth Paynter.
Ref = 888

Ellen Berriman Stevens age at death was given as 74.
Parents listed as Joseph Phillips and Annie Perkin.
Ref = 16117

Immigration would be after the wedding in 1924 for anyone looking

There is a record on the National Archives of Australia website for the years 1969-1970.
It is not as yet available online, but possible refers to the immigration to Australia.

If the couple were still in Cornwall until as late as 1969  FreeBMD have several children with the surname Stevens and mothers maiden surname Phillips in Penzance registration district between 1924-1938.
