did David G and his wife have any children, and did they move out to Aus at the same time as his parents

Names of children & further details are given in his 2007 death notice:

Thank you, Merlin! :D

What I REALLY want to find out is what happened to Joseph Henry Phillips and Annie Thomas Phillips (nee Perkin).

Why can't I find them in 1911?! Or Ellen?? It's so odd.

Also, Joseph Henry Phillips' brother, James Phillips (b St Ives 1886), is always said to have emigrated to the US or Australia, but we've never had any proof. Like Joseph, he's totally disappeared after 1901 - and to make matters harder, he doesn't even have a middle name!  ::) ::)

Bramble, do you have the parents of Joseph Henry Phillips Snr and his brother James?
If so, those names could help with the search.

The record can be seen here: https://www.bdmhistoricalrecords.dia.govt.nz/Search/Search.aspx?Path=%2FbirthSelect.m%3Fpage%3D2#matches

Though here the middle name is listed as Ellery. (A family name, his uncle also had it.)

That's what I found too....it was the only birth that was near to what you needed.

Time for further searching!   :)

The Ellery thing is weird, in the other records I've found for him (census, marriage, baptisms for a couple of his children) he's always been Joseph Henry.  ???
