Hi Everyone,

I have no real understanding of what I should be doing with this scanner thingy.   It is a feature on my HP Officejet 4500 desktop printer thingy.

I have two photos lent to me by my aunty born 1911.  I must give these back to her ASAP .... so I am about to take off on a long drive back to her home in outback Queensland.  She lent them on condition I return them personally.  I do have lots of family treasures to take to her, it will be a pleasure to visit there again.  BUT ....   There's no regular internet access where she lives with other family members, so I won't be able to promise to follow the progress here at RChat, but I will endeavour to check in 'when I can'

I would love to see these colourised, or at least 'cleaned up'.    They are both mounted on cardboard about 1/8 inch thick.  There are NO markings on the back, and yes, it is quite obvious that at some stage, someone has taken scissors to the one with my Aunty and her Mum (yep, my Gran !).    IF it cannot be done, please do not panic.   I will not be mentioning this request to my rellies, so they will be pleasantly surprised if you are able to help.

Many thanks in anticipation, and please forgive me, if I am not able to post my thanks immediately.  I am very sorry that I have obviously not understood how to use the scanner.   I have NO idea how I got rid of the lid in the attachment with just Aunty, so I cannot get rid of the lid in the one with both Gran and Aunty

Cheers,  JM
