Naval pensioner

Looking for Francis Neve Dennis b 1868 Overstrand Norfolk, he married Kate Tolhurst, I can find him in 1911 but not 1901 census, was he not in the country on census night, can't find any records of him, says he is also a GPO Porter, can't find records for that job either,
Any help please

I can't find him on the 1901 have you kate's birth year and place, it may be worth looking for her and/or any children they had as you know they were in Hollingbourne, Kent 1898 ( even if it was only to marry however possibly they were living there and even likely he was away at sea

I have found his wife Kate on the 1901 she is living with her mother an her child in Hollingbourne , thurnham kent Francis is not there with her
